A gripping, almost surreal documentary about French tightrope walker Philippe Petit’s daring (and very illegal) 1974 walk between the Twin Towers. Directed like a heist film, it follows Petit and his crew as they secretly plan and execute what feels less like a stunt and more like a public act of art and rebellion. It’s a celebration of obsession and the human urge to do something extraordinary just because you can. When asked why he did it, Petit simply responds, there is no “why”.
